Conductive Coating

Conductive coating for impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP). Where ease of application and low initial cost weigh heavily, a conductive coating can serve as the anode. These coatings contain an electrically conductive filler, which usually makes them dark grey and somewhat more viscous than an ordinary coating. Application is as usual: spray, roller or brush.
The film thickness is fairly high because of the electrical resistance in the anode material: the thicker the layer, the lower the resistance in the anode. The coating itself must not corrode, so that the anodic reactions keep taking place at the conductive surface over the long term. We offer an aluminosilicate-based conductive coating system, built up from three components: a conductive primer, the conductive coating and a primary anode.
